Support and assistance for people living with a disability

Services we offer

We provide occupational therapy interventions for individuals of all ages who are neurodiverse and/or have a physical disability. Whatever the goals, we can design pathways that help people become successful at whatever task is at hand.

Whether it’s cooking dinner, making friends, or graduating from school, we’re there to help facilitate more of life’s special moments, big and small.

Our therapists provide both telehealth and in-person sessions across the western suburbs of Melbourne. Our service is mobile – we come to you!

We service self and plan-managed clients through the NDIS.

Fine motor skills

Most of our daily tasks involve using our hands. Our OTs work on strengthening the fingers, hands and wrists, as well as developing better dexterity and fine function. We also work on building hand-eye coordination so that individuals are better able to feed themselves, use technology, communicate their needs, and other important activities.

  • Using computer keyboards
  • Handwriting
  • Fastening buttons and zips
  • Eating with cutlery
  • Personal hygiene tasks

Access to technology

Assistive technology helps people living with disability to connect and communicate with the world. Changing the way the device runs to suit the person’s learning style rather than teaching the person to learn how to use a stock standard device is a game-changer in helping them access community, build independence, and more fully participate in life.

Our therapists are trained in AAC and can modify your technology to provide better access to language and communication.

  • PODD, simPODD and Proloquo2Go
  • Text to speech and dictation
  • Assistive programs and apps
  • Laptop, keyboard, and tablet modification

Life skills

Successfully completing everyday activities such as shopping, making friends, and doing household activities helps build confidence and independence in people – whatever their age or level of ability! We help individuals build their ability to participate in everyday life activities, building their capability and self-esteem.

Equipment prescription

It’s important that individuals are properly assessed by a trained professional to ensure that the equipment chosen is the best match and the right tool for the task. Our occupational therapists have the skills, qualifications and experience to carry out assessments for specialised equipment prescription that will help improve functional capability.

Where do we work?

We offer face-to-face and telehealth intervention across the western and north western suburbs of Melbourne.

Our therapists are mobile – we come to you. This allows us to support the individual in their usual environment and gain a fuller understanding of where support is needed and how it can be delivered.

It also means that we can create strategies using familiar items around the home, which makes it easier for the individual to transfer the lessons they’re learning into everyday life.

Our in-home intervention service also saves busy families from a few trips in the car each week – which we’re sure you’ll appreciate!

  • Avondale Heights
