Hi, I’m Laura
Laura is a paediatric occupational therapist who supports children and young people to build functional skills, emotional regulation, and independence in everyday routines. At The Therapy network, Laura works closely with families and educators
to support meaningful participation across home, school, and community settings,
aligned with individual NDIS goals.
Initially trained as a teacher, Laura completed her prep-to-12 teacher training with a
major in student wellbeing. Her teaching career spans both high schools and primary
schools in Melbourne's west, where she served as both a full-time and casual relief
teacher.
Recognising a critical need for enhanced support for students facing challenges in
the classroom, Laura pursued a career shift to occupational therapy.
Laura’s clinical work focuses on translating assessment findings into practical,
capacity-building strategies that can be easily implemented in daily life.
Laura is known for producing comprehensive Functional Capacity Assessments
(FCA) that clearly link functional challenges to NDIS domains and funding
recommendations.
