Hi, I’m Stephanie
Stephanie is an Allied Health Assistant at The Therapy Network, working alongside Occupational Therapists to support the development and delivery of evidence-based interventions. Under the guidance of the OT team, Stephanie works with families and assists with creating, developing and maintaining resources and materials used within therapy.
Stephanie brings more than a decade of experience working creatively and therapeutically with children, young people and families. Her professional background includes roles as an Early Parenting Practitioner, Early Childhood Educator, Play Facilitator, Art Teacher, and Baby and Toddler Time Facilitator.
Stephanie has completed a Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care and additional training in Circle of Security, Tuning in to Kids, and the 3a – Abecedarian Approach Australia. She is also currently studying a Diploma of Counselling.
Stephanie has a particular interest in facilitating play-based experiences with babies and children. She enjoys using open-ended exploratory play, natural materials and sensory experiences to support child development. She is also passionate about empowering parents and carers with practical skills and ideas that build their confidence and capacity to engage in meaningful play with their child.
Stephanie’s creativity also extends beyond her work at TTN. With the support of Trocadero Art Space in Footscray, she exhibited as part of the group project Sticks, Leaves, Shells and Bones: The Collected. In conjunction with Merri Health, Stephanie also facilitated Made in Play, a short series of community art sessions for children aged 0–5 years and their parents and carers.
Outside of work, Stephanie enjoys spending time with family and friends. She loves gardening, writing, hiking and collaging.
